Founders since 1989

Darwish and Raida Foudeh arrived in Nigeria in September 1988 with a mission to secure a life for themselves. Even as pilgrims in a strange land, they took a keen interest in nurturing the youth in their immediate environment. In their minds, the highest mountain which could stand between a child and greatness is a child’s own perceived limitations. The only way to move this mountain is to eliminate all perceived limitations through education.

As they began growing a family of their own, they realized that it was time to apply structure and definition to their ethos and passion.  Together, with just a vision and a lot of passion, they founded Avi-Cenna International School in September 1989.

Their own children are products of Avi-Cenna and have moved on to begin lives of their own. Raida now owns an art gallery in their home Country of Jordan while Darwish continues to serve as a compass for Avi-Cenna, pointing the way to the future.
